This series of works is comprised of several layered drawings of imaginary blueprints. Each blueprint represents a single building over the course of several decades, depicting all the transformations it goes through. I’ve always been fascinated by the repurposing of architecture and how one building can serve so many functions and host so many narratives during its lifespan.
Most buildings while long outlive us and these works invite us to wonder about where our narrative fits in within the several layers of history and human interaction that happens within one space. The result is a cloudy, abstract sea of geometric lines, from all the additions and demolitions that, in turn, gain an organic quality—almost gaining a life of its own.
