Farmington Foods has been providing high-quality pork cuts to the restaurant and retail industry in Chicago and nation-wide for decades. Recently, they decided to start seeing cooked goods—BBQ products— directly to the consumer. As a business-to-business company, Farmington Foods now faced the challenge of creating a brand that was appealing to the grocery store shopper.
The logo, brand identity and packaging were built around the heritage that Chicago has as the butcher capital of the world. Using industrial and urban imagery, combined with appetizing food photography, I developed a brand that, while new, connotes history and trustworthiness to the client, while;e delivering appetite appeal.
